I made this box using surface techniques learned at a workshop with Michael Sherrill. My results are not as elegant as Michael's (!), but I used a method similar to his. It involves several firings, in between which I layered 5-6 colors and then carefully worked down through them with steel wool to reveal color. It's finished with several coats of wax.
